Bush fires will get worse as Global Warming continues

The severe weather conditions on Black Saturday in Victoria are now the focus of a Royal Commission into the disaster, which killed 173 people and destroyed nearly 2000 homes. Environmental scientists at the University of Melbourne held a forum called “The Science of Bushfire and Recovery” to discuss the role of global warming in creating bushfire condidtions. They predict that if green house gases are not reduced, the conditions that allowed the Victoria bushfires to be so ferocious will occur more frequently.
