President George Bush’s first day at the APEC summit in Sydney won’t be a quiet one. Numerous protests are being staged to oppose his administrations stance on climate change and the war in Iraq. John Howard hasn’t escaped either with Greenpeace commissioning two ice sculptures of the two leaders to tour Sydney’s sights while melting away in the spring sun. The Wire spoke to Selwyn Manning about the security in Sydney. As well as Julien Gronbark from Greenpeace and Simon Curich from the student walk out protest, which also took place today.
