Bungjalung traditional owners protect massacre site in court

Traditional owners have won a legal battle against the Ballina Shire Council in New South Wales, over a 19th Century Aboriginal massacre site. The court ruled in favour of the Bungjalung traditional owners, saying the council’s planned development of a cycleway route over the area was invalid. The Wire Team spoke with Susan Anderson, representative of the Numbahjing and lawyer, Al Oshlack.
