The community radio sector were in Canberra lobbying along with everyone else for a decent share of this year’s budget…the news it seems is not too bad – money to develop Australian music and for training programs – but a few question marks over the community sector’s ability move into digital when the rest of Australia’s radio stations do, Acting CBAA general manager Craig Liddell says the delay in funding digital radio is linked to a general delay in its introduction, and could be seen as a welcome breather as radio works out the details of what digital will mean.
