The Community Council of Australia advocates on behalf of charities and non-profits throughout the country and has made some modest proposals for the upcoming budget. These include extending Deductible Gift Recipient status to a greater number of non-profits, allowing for businesses to establish an opt-in system for workplace giving and greater certainty and protections around grant funding to non-profit organisations.
