Before European settlement two hundred years ago, Aboriginals ate a rich diet of seasonal fruits, vegetables and meats. Fast forward to today, and besides the kangaroo sausage you see on the supermarket shelf, traditional indigenous food is hard to come by. Bridging that gap, and taking modern Australian dining back to its roots, that is its aboriginal roots, is the Yaama Dhiyaan function centre. But not only to they serve up modern indigenous tucker, they also teach it.
