BREXIT looms – still too close to call
The UK’s upcoming referendum to decide whether or not they leave the European Union has hit fever pitch, with the final vote to happen this Thursday.
Parliamentarians briefly paused their campaigning out of respect for murdered MP Jo Cox, but the ceasefire didn’t last too long, with Boris Johnson, David Cameron and Nigel Farage continuing to weigh in on the debate.
Cameron, campaigning for Britain to remain in the EU, says the economy will suffer, while Johnson is promoting a BREXIT to boost the UK’s trade opportunities. It’s not yet been decided which side will come out on top as the vote looms.
But could there be a silver lining for Australian farmers?
