The unemployment rate has increased in Australia since the pandemic started. Now that the pandemic is under control, jobseekers have returned to their mutual obligations scheme to look for jobs to get their payments processed, and most of them do it through a job agency.

But claims of exploiting the unemployed and treating them without respect are some of the issues the Anti-Poverty Network Queensland raise in their campaign “Boycott Sarina Russo”, asking unemployed Australians to switch to a different job agency.

The Anti-Poverty Network Queensland group also says the job agencies do not provide enough support for jobseekers, particularly in a time where unemployment rate increased to 6.9% because of the COVID crisis.
