Childbirth can be a daunting experience for mothers to be, but with modern medicine it has become a straight forward procedure. But in developing countries six-hundred-thousand women die each year while giving birth, and for each woman that dies in childbirth another thirty women incur injuries. Sonia Gentile attended a Birthing Kit Workshop held on the weekend and explains what preventative measures are being put in place.
