A new AI technology called ‘Billy’ after a faithful dog is able, through sensors in the home, to track the daily habits and movements of an elderly person.  Both the housing provider and the family are alerted if habits and movements change. Providers claim rather than being  a ‘Big Brother’ surveillance technology this is an innovation that  makes it possible for people to stay in their homes safely as they age.
