Motorists, farmers and the coal industry just to name a few have been waiting with bated breath for the details of the new carbon emissions trading scheme. There were bound to be winners and losers. Crikey commentator Bernard Keane has had a look at today’s Green Paper and says it gives the coal industry and others a very easy ride. He says it looks as though the government is keener on keeping everyone happy than really encouraging lower emitting.
