Iceland’s return to commercial whaling has caused outrage from environmental groups all over the world, but one has turned to e-Bay to plead bidders for pay for the life of a whale. The World Society for the Protection of Animals opened bidding yesterday, pledging to raise AUS $230,000 dollars to buy back a whale from the Icelandic government. WSPA Australian spokesperson Jordan Burke explained to the Wire’s Alex Parry how they came up with the price tag.
