Rumours of discord within the Labor Party’s ranks were proved true today when Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard announced that they would be offering themselves as the new face of Labor. On Monday Kym Beazley will be judged by his own party as it decides whether it still wants the Bomber to lead the party into the next election. And Flinders University politics lecturer Dr Hayden Manning says it will be a vote more complicated by the factions that rule the party from within.
