Events have recently been held worldwide on university campuses to promote the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions or BDS movement, ahead of the global march to Jerusalem on March 30. Meanwhile, media reports suggest conditions in Gaza and the West Bank are worsening.
Air strikes killed 25 people last week in Gaza and a United Nations report released yesterday stated Israeli settlers have taken over dozens of natural springs in the West Bank, with Palestinians unable to access them at all.Samah Sabawi, a writer and activist from Gaza, based in Melbourne, spoke to Biwa Kwan on the challenges facing the BDS movement.
