The Tarnanthi Festival celebrates and features the work of more than 1,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from around Australia.

One of those artists is Badger Bates: a Barkandji man with a deep connection to the Darling River and a talent for linocut.

Mr Bates’s artwork illustrates his beginnings, his continuing connection to the Barka (the Darling River), and his life as a Barkandji person.
