Damien Brown was just a twenty-nine year old doctor not too long out of medical school when he signed up to join Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders).

He worked in several locations across Africa, and had to deal with a leopard attack and exploding landmines among the larger problem of trying to provide medical services to entire populations living in poverty.Damien Brown is now back in Australia working with remote communities in the Northern Territory –and he’s written a book about his experiences.
