Bail could be easier for Aboriginal people

After a collaboration between the NSW Police, Justice Department, Aboriginal Legal Service and Legal Aid, a trial program of easing bail conditions has been instituted in the Orana region around Dubbo.
Often young first offenders on bail are unable to make draconian conditions due to circumstances, and do not feel confident in seeking help when they get into a tight spot. This begins a cycle of incarceration that should never have started.
