Australia’s women vulnerable to “housing stress”

A new study has found that one in ten Australian households are at risk of financial hardship and poverty after paying for housing costs.

Australians for Affordable Housing commissioned the report which shows how unattainably high housing prices cause housing stress and insecurity nation-wide.Last April, a study by ANGLICARE Sydney found that women are particularly affected.Both organizations are calling for a reform in government housing policies.
