Australians need to cut their sugar intake by half. At the moment we’re consuming too much junk and putting our health system, and hearts, under a lot of strain.

The World Health Organisation is urging people to cut out the sweet stuff. The current recommended daily intake of sugar is six teaspoons a day, half of what the average person eats. Sugar intake is a major contributing factor to obesity and dental problems.
