The Senate has decided that Australia should put pressure on the Japanese government over the arrest of two Japanese Greenpeace activists. The pair are being held without charge in Japan, after allegedly uncovering an embezzlement racket involving whale meat. They were arrested during raids on Greenpeace offices, several weeks after they approached police with a video tape allegedly featuring the illegal distribution of whale meat.
