Australia’s peak medical body dumps the NT intervention

Australia’s peak medical body has announced it’s pulling out of the Northern Territory intervention. The Australian Medical Association, responsible for recruiting doctors to the Northern Territory, say the program is now too big for them to deal with. The AMA has also accused the government of inadequate funding, claiming the intervention is relying on the ‘goodwill’ of doctors.
