The Australian government has announced it will officially support the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples next week, reversing the Howard Government’s vote against it in 2007. But Indigenous groups and supporters are questioning the validity of this agreement while the racial discrimination act is still suspended in the Northern Territory.
