Australia has become the first developed nation to introduce a visa ban for people from Ebola-affected countries to prevent the spread of the epidemic to Australian soil. West African leaders have spoken out in opposition to the Federal Government decision to close boarders to the citizens of Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea. Infectious disease expert Robert Booy from the University of Sydney says policy should focus on treating Ebola on the ground.
