Australia is experiencing a perfect storm of population growth, and problems are set to get worse as the climate gets hotter. Today Australia’s population reached 22 million people. Alarm bells are ringing across the country as the challenge of high population rates and the looming climate change problem becomes more of an issue. It is estimated Australia’s population will be more than 35 million by 2050. Many people are saying that this is simply not sustainable and the environment – including its human inhabitants will be taken by surprise.
