As a big meat-eating country, many Australian’s take beef for granted – but the local poor see it as a luxury. That’s why hunger relief organisation, Foodbank, are mixing up their diets by supplying almost 5000kg of sausages to each state every fortnight. Even though this may sound like a lot of meat, CEO John Webster, says it won’t go far enough, and is appealing to producers to donate a cow to lower food insecurity in the country.
