Australians opening up to marriage equality

There has been a significant shift in attitude toward homosexual couples in the past ten years, according to the latest HILDA survey.
The Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia report is the only study of its kind in the country.
Dr Hannah McCann from the University of Melbourne analysed these results and found that Australians are more comfortable with homosexual couples having the same rights as heterosexual couples.
Whether this indicates a potential future change in approach to the homosexual community in general remains to be seen, but for the moment, it indicates a definite step toward marriage equality.
