Australians live longer, but are they also healthier?

There is good and bad news in a report launched today by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. Australians have one of the highest life expectancies in the world. But on the other hand the number of people suffering from chronic diseases is on the rise. In particular Indigenous people are three times more likely to get chronic diseases, such as diabetes or cancer.
