Australian Tamils call for support for genocide investigation

Hundreds of Australian Tamils have rallied outside Parliament House in Canberra today. They’re calling on the Australian government to support a stronger UN Human Rights Council resolution on Sri Lanka. Two resolutions on Sri Lanka have been passed in the last two years, calling for an improvement in human rights. Both have been led by the United States and supported by the UK and over thirty other countries. But Australia has remained silent on the issue.
