Australia’s livestock export trade is worth around eight-hundred-million dollars a year, but many of the countries we trade with have appalling animal welfare practices, and animal rights groups have accused the industry of turning a blind eye to this. Karl Kleinig asked pioneering Egyptian animal rights campaigner Amina Abaza about the fate of Australian livestock in Egypt.
