Australian groups tell government it’s time to act on climate change

Over fifty Australian organisations have today presented a letter urging the government to commit to zero carbon pollution by 2050. The diverse group represents fire-fighters, doctors, farmers, aid groups and more. Australia has pledged to support the global agreement to limit warming to no more than 2 degrees. But the letter warns that current emission targets won’t meet this goal and more needs to be done.
