A further eight Australian fur seals have today been confirmed dead on Tasmania’s eastern coast. The rare seals were all shot dead and have increased the number of seal casualties to twenty in the past two days. Program Leader for the Wildlife and Marine Conservation Section of the Department of Primary Industries and Water, David Pemberton, speaks about the incident and how it will affect ecotourism in the region.
