According to a recent Oxford University risk analysis study, East Timor has a high risk rating for further conflict. But today, the Australian Defence Force has announced the The Australian Defence Force plans to withdraw up to 100 personnel from East Timor. The Wire asked Charles Darwin University Politics lecturer, Dennis Shoesmith whether this was a good idea, given the recent levels of conflict in East Timor.
