With around 250,00 Australians with epilepsy and more than 40 types of the condition, Epilepsy Action Australia will host the Purple Day Epilepsy Action Awareness day on 26 March across the nation.
For the first time, the Sydney Opera House will be light in purple.
Epilepsy can attack anyone. Luke Eisenhuths is one of the ambassadors of Epilepsy Action Australia in Brisbane, and he was diagnosed with Landau Kleffner Syndrome at the age of 3, being the 7th person in the world to be diagnosed with it.
The community can raise support on this day with different activities.
