The National Indigenous Languages Survey Report revealed that three quarters of the 145 Indigenous languages spoken in Australia are classed as ‘severely and critically endangered’. The Wire Team spoke to Labor spokesperson, Peter Garrett and Chairman of the South Australia Branch of the Foundation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation of Languages, Denise Karpany.
