How would you feel if your vote in this year’s federal election had been lost? That’s what happened to nearly 1400 voters in Western Australia. The Australian Electoral Commission today announced the results of Western Australia’s Senate Election, but it seems likely the results will be challenged in the High Court after it was revealed that 1375 votes were lost. The controversy has sparked a debate over whether Australia should move towards an electronic voting system.
