Prime Minister John Howard’s recent announcement of a refugee exchange scheme between Australia and the US has the eighty-three Sri-Lankan asylum seekers currently being held in Nauru anxious about their future. Democrats Senator Andrew Bartlett has just returned from Nauru, where he spoke with the asylum seekers. The Wire quickly caught up with him as he returned to find out how they’re feeling about their uncertain future.
