Asylum seeker advocate Jeanie Walker says Iraqi man Mohammad Albederee is preparing for death on Manus Island after Immigration Minister Peter Dutton refused to allow him to come to Australia for treatment. It comes as medical professionals urge the government to ratify the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture to allow for independent monitoring of detention centres.
