Asylum seeker children to be released from detention centres

Asylum seeker kids and their families will be released into the community under a new policy announced today. Activist groups have welcomed the move but there are some restrictions. Only children under the age of ten, who arrived before 19th July last year and are held in mainland detention will be released. And those released will be released on constricting bridging visas.
