New laws passed in the Senate will give more power for shareholders to veto Executive wages which are perceived too costly. It follows Australian Securities and Investments Commission announcement for more pressure on corporations to become more ethical, which has put many organized entities on notice. The Federal government says its interested to introduce better accountability mechanisms by exploring a new charitable commission, comparable to overseas models.
