The Federal Goverment has announced a new township agreement with the traditional owners of Gunbalanya in the West Arnhem region. Despite the agreement, experts are questioning whether it will really benefit Indigenous communities. Some of the questions raised are about the way the Federal government negotiated with the traditional owners and the real impact on these communities, as there is not evidence of such positive impact.
