Anti-apartheid hero Archbishop Desmond Tutu officially retired from public life today, ending over three decades of human rights activism. The Nobel Peace Prize winner says he’s retiring to spend more time with his family. Despite his age – he turns 79 today – Tutu has travelled far and wide in recent years – campaigning for action on climate change, HIV/AIDS awareness and a boycott of Israel.
