It’s Anti-Poverty week this week and on the back of a growing national economy the question is being asked – will that growth ever benefit those at the lower end of the scale?

Australian Bureau of Statistics recently found that since 2005 the top 20 per cent of the population has enjoyed an average wealth of $2.2 million while the poorest 20 per cent only $32,000.With the economy increasing on the back of the mining boom will this gap only increase?
