Protecting old growth forests has become a dangerous business. Anti logging activists in Tasmania claim that a contractor working for Gunns Limited attacked their car blockade with a sledgehammer, and kicked one of the activists in the head. The group “Still Wild, Still Threatened” say that their demonstrations are peaceful, and that they are only trying to protect the forest in the Upper Florentine Valley.
