Former intelligence analyst Andrew Wilke is gearing up for his new career as a Greens politician. He hasn’t chosen an easy seat – he’s going up against Prime Minister John Howard in the Sydney seat of Bennelong. The Prime Minister hasn’t had an easy time of it lately, with dropping polls and a furore over his treatment of Mick Kelty for saying Australia is more of a terror target post-Iraq. Annie Hastwell spoke to Andrew Wilke while he was in Adelaide this week and asked him if he agreed that we are now less safe.
