A new report by Amnesty International accuses Australian officials of being involved in transnational crime, regarding claims Australian officials paid the crew of an asylum seeker boat U.S. thirty-two thousand dollars to take it, and its passengers, back to Indonesia in May. The Wire spoke to Dr Graham Thom, Refugee Coordinator at Amnesty International, about the report and Amnesty International’s calls for a Royal Commission into the incident.
