Africa is struggling to contain a growing terrorism movement that has so far targeted 22 nations. Al-Shabab, Boko Haram and al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb are the main forces threatening the nation, with Boko Haram in particular considered the second most dangerous group after the Islamic State. At a summit last week in Nairobi African leaders came together to discuss what needs to be done to combat the current wave of terrorism, and prevent future threats.
