Neuroblastoma is a rare type of cancer most commonly affecting the nerves, however it can also develop in other areas where groups of nerve cells exist like the abdomen, in the chest, neck and near the spine. It usually affects people under the age of 5 with between 40- 50 children diagnosed across Australia annually, including Xavier Pudokvin, who relapsed earlier this year.

Xavier and his family are organising a Gala black and white ball in Adelaide to generate support for further treatments in New York as there are no curative treatments in Australia.
