Two asylum seekers from Woodville High School were taken out of community detention and sent to Wickham Point Detention Centre in Darwin. But they have since ran away and may face criminal charges if caught. The community in Adelaide is overwhelmingly supportive and hopes to get the two boys back to their learning environment. In the latest move the Charles Sturt Council has also stepped up against the Immigration Minister’s decision to take the boys out of community detention.
