Opposition leader Bill Shorten made comments suggesting he would support a treaty in recognition of Aboriginal people on Monday night’s QandA.  For the first time, there is a marked difference between the two parties in the lead-up to the election.  As it stands, the Coalition are currently promoting constitutional recognition, and with Mr Shorten’s surprising support of a treaty as well as constitutional recognition, this gives undecided voters a few things to think about.  Given the time it has taken to get constitutional recognition off the ground, his comments have been met with some skepticism.  What do Aboriginal people really want?
