Aboriginal Deaths in Custody are once again in the spotlight. Giving evidence to the re-opened inquest into the death-in-custody case in Townsville today, Senior Sergeant Chris Hurley said he was sorry for the angst suffered by Cameron Doomadgee’s family. While yesterday Neil Roberts, Minister for Police, Corrective services and Emergency Services met with the family of Sheldon Currie, 18 who passed away last month after being held in custody. Faith Valencia caught up with the Minister to find out what came out of that meeting.
